We liked the idea of piling the knives as a game, and also as a good way of storing the knives in a kitchen or placed on a table. We wanted them to have a rough yet warm look, so we used American Ash, to turn a very geometric piece into a nice and comfy grip.
Daniel Vila and Ester Pujol founded Nahtrang Design in 2004, a product design Studio, following their motivation for making better the everyday life designing useful, honest and responsible designs with simple lines and a direct language. They collaborate with different universities as Escola Massana, Elisava and EINA. Some of their products have appeared in various publications such as On Diseño, Experimenta, Creativity Guide, Icon and Wallpaper among others.
