Florentine Kitchen Knives

Our main goal with this project was to make use of waste. We cast a mixture of composite dust left over from our CNC machines operation, and leftover resin from our regular assembly into silicone molds, to make a butter side dish to accompany our butter knives, made of the same composite.

Florentine Kitchen Knives is a Poblenou based brand founded in 2012 by industrial designer Tomer Botner who was later joined by his wife Noam Blumenthal, a fashion designer. Each year, FKK release limited editions of the signature stacked handled knives and have made custom kitchen and table knives for many of the world’s finest restaurants and most accomplished cooks as well as cooking lovers around the globe.
