Simple butter knife is my attempt to produce a series of metal knives in a limited environment in terms of tools and conditions. I used a 1mm, 301 stainless steel sheet with a very minimal finishing process, a bit like a self-made shaping tool or a trowell. The handles are etched manually so each knife is slightly different.
Oded Webman is an independent designer and educator, designing and producing objects in small editions since 2013. Based in Tel-Aviv, his practice is dedicated to exploring different production methods and their particular poetics, and is guided by the love of form, colour and figure.
