Our favourite restaurant, when the Florentine Kitchen Knives work/shop was still in Barrio Raval, was Dos Pebrots, located in the street parallel to us. We visited often and Borja became a close friend. Borja and the team even took a knife-making class with us which was a lot of fun. When Borja left the restaurant to open his own place, we spent a lot more time together, brainstorming and imagining this fantastic establishment.

These days Ultramarinos Marin Bar/Asador, is one of the hottest seats in Barcelona, and has been for the past three years. As always with Borja, the best chefs in Spain and around the world come to eat his no-bullshit food and see him on the grill, making every single dish. The Ultramarinos and Ultramarinas are mainly focusing on long processes of curing and fermentation as well as the best seasonal products.

The restaurant has a small bar in the inner kitchen, which only a select few get to dine on. The meal there is in the form of a chef’s menu. We had the pleasure of making our classic Florentine scaled table knives in black paper Micarta for those 10 seats, engraved with the head of Posidon, the maritime god.
