Join us for a unique experience at Florentine Kitchen Knives in Barcelona, where you’ll have the opportunity to craft your own knife alongside our founder, Tomer Botner. In this private, two-day workshop, designed for just two participants, you'll learn the art of knife-making and finish your creation with hands-on guidance.
You will choose from a selection of blade styles and will be guided through every step of the knife-making process – from grinding and finishing to shaping, polishing, sharpening, and engraving. You will customise our signature stacked handle using Micarta, wood, leather and Brass.
Once your knife is finished, you will sharpen it using traditional Japanese whetstone techniques, taught by master sharpener Ayanori Suzuki, from The Sharpening Shop.
This workshop is perfect for beginners, but experienced makers are welcome too, with plenty of opportunities to learn something new. Across two days, you’ll spend about four hours per day working on your knife, plus a two-hour sharpening session. We’ll also provide a Spanish-style pica-pica on both days day to fuel your creativity.
We will guide you through grinding your chosen knife profile.

Choose from our selection of finishes, depending on the type of steel.
Sharpen and laser mark your finished knife beofre taking it home.
