Description
When we received the blades, Valencia, our hometown, suffered terrible floods. This made us take the project around this theme. Only in the first 30 days after the flood, 300.000 tons of urban trash where cleaned out of the streets. So that you can make an idea of how much that is, It would be equivalent as the trash the hole community of Valencia would make in 2 years. We decided to recycle some of this discarded wood, making this knife handles with it. During cleaning days, we used long tools, as shovels, cleaning slods, etc to get rid of the mud. This is one of the reasons we made long handles imitating these tools. We mostly ate during this days Sandwiches, we call them "bocadillo", this is why we made the teeth on the blade. The stripes of different wood colors imitate the stripes of Valencia's flag (Red and Yellow). Knifes have inscription with the date that all started, the date that the flood was. We believe woods we used are oak and sapelly.
We are Pablo and Xan, and we are DE BIGOT ENROTLLAT, two industrial designers with Diogenese syndrome and uncontrolled creativity.
We create anything out of anything else.
In our studio in Valencia we design useable artefacts out of peculiar objects, transforming these ones into unique pieces of design.

Do not place in the dishwasher. Wash using a mild detergent and a non-abrasive sponge. Store in a cool, dry place when not in use.
