Description
Introducing the first piece in our new WorkWear line, The Maker's Vest was created in collaboration with our friends at Cabra.
Cut and sewn in-house on vintage industrial machines in Barcelona, each vest reflects Dani and Camila’s dedication to traditional craftsmanship. Built for work, made with intention from lightweight, dry-waxed canvas by Halley Stevensons and using customised Japanese copper buttons, the vest is soft, durable, water and dust resistant, and designed to age with character. The Scottish herringbone weave adds texture and heritage, while the bold contrast lining brings an edgy touch.
After thirteen years of making knives, we know what real workwear needs to survive: dust, oil, heat, sparks, movement, and long hours. This vest is built for exactly that—practical, hard-wearing, and clean in form.
Available in two colorways, Olive Green with Mustard lining and Deep Blue with Butane Orange lining, these vests are a limited edition, only 10 available in each colour combo.
Each piece is made-to-order—please allow 15 business days for shipping.
Technical Info
Cruz is Cabra's softest waxed cotton - a 100% BCI-certified fabric with a silky, almost fluid handle. Despite its softness, it carries the unmistakable character of waxed cloth – it creases, cracks, and develops an aged patina that only gets better with wear.
What sets waxed cotton apart is its longevity. The dense weave makes it naturally strong and highly durable, and unlike synthetic alternatives, it can be maintained and reproofed by the wearer, extending its life for many years.
Responsibly sourced cotton and low-impact manufacturing processes make Cruz a sustainable choice. Its performance adapts to the environment: the wax softens and becomes more breathable in warm weather, then stiffens in the cold for improved wind resistance.
Each finish is designed to evolve beautifully over time. Marks, folds, and creases become part of the garment’s story — a record of use that enhances the fabric’s depth and character.
Care
Wash at 30°C. No bleach. Air-dry in the shade. Low-heat iron. Do not tumble-dry or dry clean.
