    Description

d'Alger are knives made of leftover hosepipes as handles, showcasing rural ingenuity. They are inspired by the informal meals shared in the fields, where each farmer brings their knife. By repurposing discarded materials, these knives celebrate improvisation and the adaptive wisdom of agricultural life, transforming overlooked resources into functional, meaningful objects.

Vicent Orts is a Valencia-based industrial designer whose work explores the temporality of materials, the re-localization of production, and the potential of pre-existing resources. His practice is deeply influenced by the wisdom of rural craftsmanship, embracing efficiency, sustainability, and hands-on experimentation. With experience in international studios such as Lex Pott and Odd Matter in Rotterdam, as well as Jorge Penadés in Madrid, he has developed a keen interest in mechanical joints and industrial assembly systems.
